Sender Domains

Updated on

The Sender Domain Manager lets you create alternate configurations for the Default Values for Emails across multiple sends without needing to configure these manually each time. Saved Sender Domains can be selected from the Sender Domain drop-down menu in the Email Configuration tab.

For more information on sending emails, please read our article on Sending and Scheduling an Email.

Sender Domain Form 1
  1. Name: Used to specify a particular Sender Domain, this name is what you and other users see in your Sender Domain Manager and the Sender Domain setting when configuring your email send.
  2. (Sub) Domain: A delegated subdomain, separate from your Default Subdomain (e.g., events.example.com). Subdomain delegated using iPost name servers can be added by you or your team. If you plan to use a CNAME for a Sender Domain, you'll need to contact iPost Client Support to obtain an iPost domain to associate with the CNAME.
  3. From Name: The "From Name" is what contacts see in their inbox. It lets the contact know who is sending the message. Choose a name that will be recognizable to your contacts (e.g., Example Elite Hospitality & Events)
  4. From Address: The "From Address" is the email address used to send mailings in iPost. Enter the left-side name of the mailbox in this field (e.g., for the From Address '[email protected]', use the word 'hello'). The subdomain will pre-populate based on the (Sub) Domain) field.
  5. Reply Forwarding Address: The email address that email replies will be automatically forwarded to after being cleansed and processed by our In-bound Message Filter. This should be a real email address controlled by you and your team.
  6. Sender Postal Address: The postal address of the brand or company sending the email. If a postal address is present in this field it will be used for all mailings sent with the Sender Domain. If no email address is present, the Default Postal Address for the account will be used in the mailing.
  7. IP Address: This option allows you to specify the IP address to use. If left unselected, iPost will automatically apply the account IP configurations to the send.
